Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Public Affairs
Aaron Guiterman is Edelman's head of digital public affairs, based in Washington D.C. He leads a team of experienced political and corporate public affairs professionals focused on designing creative issue preparedness and rapid response campaigns to promote and protect the interests of our clients across the entire Edelman client portfolio.
Over the past two decades, Guiterman has applied his multifaceted experience in public affairs, political campaign design, digital communications and integrated media to guide clients through difficult and high-risk legislative, reputational and regulatory battles. He has advised a variety of high profiles clients including Exxon, PhRMA, API, Verizon, Shell, Miller/Coors, DuPont, ACLU and Business Software Alliance through tough issues and political fights.
Guiterman has also run fully integrated grass roots and grass tops advocacy campaigns, ballot initiatives and referendum efforts on behalf of leading industry associations and organizations fighting mandates and passing legislation. An early pioneer of audience-centric advocacy campaigns and behavioural micro-targeting, Guiterman specializes in the use of disparate custom and syndicated research, including unstructured digital data, rapid response polling and field intel to develop disruptive creative strategies to win tough fights.
Prior to joining Edelman, he applied this expertise at Young & Rubicam, McCann-Erickson and the Glover Park Group. Aaron is a frequent lecturer at industry events and Universities, including American University, Georgetown, WVU and George Mason. He lives in Virginia with his wife and three children.
