Mark Parnell MLC, Leader of the Greens in the SA Parliament since 2006. A lawyer, economist and planner by training, he has worked most of his life for non-profit environment organisations. This included 10 years as a lawyer with the Environmental Defenders Office and, before that, he worked for the Wilderness Society and the Australian Conservation Foundation. Mark has also taught environmental and public health law at all three SA universities.
In Parliament, Mark has been a consistent advocate for human rights, economic reform and a sustainable environment. Currently, he sits on the Environment, Resources and Development Committee and the Joint Committee on Findings of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission.
